Committed to a Safe and Healthy Camp Environment
Jumpin' Gymsters provides an innovative 3-tiered Camper and Coach program that leverages the traditional Day Camp experience to foster connections among Campers, Jr. Coaches, and Coaches.
Children of all ages relish the feeling of independence while participating in activities like Lego construction, imaginative art projects, outdoor lawn games, peaceful reading, creating marble runs, or enjoying a friendly game of chess with fellow Jr. Campers, Jr. Coaches, and Assistant Coaches.
My son attended multiple sessions of the summer camp this year and had a great time! I was able to easily drop him off, which is not always guaranteed, and he came home happy and excited to return. I really appreciated the coaches, who were all friendly and kind to my son, and helped him feel comfortable. It was an overall great experience!

Our kids (ages 7, 5, and 4) love Jumpin Gymsters summer camp. It is outdoors, this works well for our family because they are an energetic trio. Everyday at dinner we do “happy part” and something camp related would be the kiddos share....We had a few really hot days and the camp is good about water and sunscreen breaks....
...It’s also a smaller group than some of the other camps around. We never felt like the kids got lost in the shuffle....

Camp FAQs
What are the camp dates and daily schedule?
Our 2027 summer camp will run from June 1st through August 20th! Exact session details will be announced soon—stay tuned for our full summer calendar release.
Camp runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. For a complete hour-by-hour breakdown of our daily activities, sports, lunch, and chill time, check out our Daily Schedule.
How much does summer camp cost?
Our 2027 camp fees and session rates will be announced in mid-December.
Once announced, pricing and registration options will be available directly on our Sawyer page.
What is the summer camp refund, cancellation, and transfer policy?
Because camp spots, staffing, and permits are secured well in advance, all cancellations and transfers follow our set seasonal deadlines:
Cancellations: Full refunds (less a 3% fee) are available through Feb 15, 2027, and 50% refunds through March 31, 2027. No refunds are issued starting April 1, 2027.
Transfers: You may transfer between open 2027 sessions at no charge through May 1, 2027, subject to availability.
For complete terms and deadline details, please view our full 2027 Camp Refund, Cancellation & Transfer Policy.
Are meals provided during camp?
Campers need to bring their own lunch and a large, labeled refillable water bottle each day.
We provide both a morning and an afternoon snack, but packing extra favorite snacks is strongly encouraged—our campers are super active and work up big appetites!
Please note: Jumpin’ to Summer is a nut-free camp. All lunches and personal snacks must be completely nut-free.
What does my child need to bring to Camp?
Please pack everything in a backpack your child can carry comfortably, and label all items with their first and last name!
Hearty Lunch: A packed, nut-free lunch.
Water Bottle: A durable, refillable water bottle.
Sun Protection: Hat, sunglasses, and personal sunscreen (please apply before morning drop-off!).
Extra Layer: A light jacket, hoodie, or windbreaker for cool Bay Area mornings.
Footwear & Attire: Closed-toe athletic shoes or sneakers and comfortable play clothes that can get a little messy.
Friday Wheel Days: Helmet and a scooter, skateboard, or bike on designated wheel days.
Please leave personal toys, electronics, and valuable items at home.
A camp checklist will also be shared with you after registration.
Where can I find my child’s missing items?
Daily Lost & Found Bin: Check our Lost & Found station located at the check-in/pick-up area each afternoon.
Label Everything: The best way to ensure missing items return home is having your child’s first and last name labeled clearly on all water bottles, layers, and gear.
Message Us: If you realize an item is missing after leaving camp, reach out to us via Brightwheel with a description of the item, and we’ll check our bin the next morning.
Where can I drop off and pick up my child for Camp?
Location: Lake Temescal – North Entrance (6500 Broadway, Oakland, CA).
Finding Us: Park in the North Entrance parking lot near the playground. Look for the Jumpin’ Gymsters tent or table, where a coach will be waiting to greet you!
Sign-In & Sign-Out: An authorized adult must sign each camper in and out with a coach daily.
Times: Morning drop-off begins at 9:00 AM, and afternoon pick-up is promptly at 3:00 PM.
Is there a drive-up option for drop-off and pick-up?
No, drive-up drop-off and pick-up are not permitted. Because Lake Temescal is an active public park, parents or authorized guardians must park in the lot and walk over to our check-in table to sign campers in and out directly with our coaching staff.
Do you offer extended care?
We will not offer morning care for JTS 2027, but we do offer an aftercare option for families needing extended pick-up!
Morning Care: Not available (standard drop-off begins at 9:00 AM).
Aftercare: Available from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM for an additional fee.
How to Register: You can add aftercare directly during checkout on our Sawyer page when booking your camp session (subject to availability).
Can I add on extended care as needed?
Yes! While we recommend registering for aftercare in advance, you can add it during the camp week if your schedule changes:
How to Request: Send a request through Brightwheel.
Payment & Space: Spots are subject to availability to ensure we maintain our coach-to-camper ratios, and the additional fee will be processed directly with your payment on file through Sawyer.
Do I have to sign up for Brightwheel for Camp?
Yes, all families are required to set up a Brightwheel account prior to their first day of camp.
We use Brightwheel for daily attendance check-in/check-out, real-time messaging, emergency alerts, and on-site aftercare requests. Look out for an email invitation with instructions to activate your account the week before your camp session begins!
How do I check in and check out my camper?
Use your Brightwheel QR code or your personal passcode to securely check in/out your Campers.
You must check in/out with a Coach who will be readily available upon arrival.
How can I find out how and what my child is doing at camp?
Our JG Staff uses Brightwheel’s secure system to communicate daily activities, photos, and information for you to view right on your mobile device.
At the end of each session, a newsletter and photo gallery will be shared with all families via Brightwheel.
How can I reach the staff at camp for questions or changes in pick-up/drop-off?
Message our coaching staff directly in the Brightwheel app for same-day schedule adjustments, authorized pick-up changes, or quick updates. This is the fastest way to get real-time messages to on-site staff during camp hours.
For emergencies only, contact Carol Vaasili at (510) 862-5605.
Do you offer any camp discounts?
Yes! We offer discounts to help families making multiple bookings:
Sibling Discount: Receive $ off for each additional sibling enrolled in the same session.
(Please note: If siblings are enrolled in different program tiers, e.g., Jr. Camper and Jr. Coach, the sibling discount does not apply.)
Multi-Session Discount: Save when enrolling in multiple camp sessions.
How to Apply: Discounts are automatically applied at checkout when registering through our Sawyer platform.
